Teacher Comments and Observations
Carlene is a very creative little girl. Her
illustrations are beautiful and she is eager to write her ideas down.
Spelling is a concern at this point, but she is sounding out the sounds she
hears. We are working on punctuation and I look forward to continued
progress.
Assignment: What was the student asked to do?
This was a first grade writing assessment where
students were asked to write for 40 minutes about what makes them so
special. They used this time to write silently and create a picture that
went along with their text. The words "special" and
"because" were spelled for them.
